  1. When I saw that picture of Gozer the Gozerian I thought you were going to do the unthinkable and refer to Ghostbusters as schlock. Grrrr! I love the show and don’t even need to watch all of the movies to get a big kick out of you guys. (Especially the guy who sounds a lot like Seth Rogan – a compliment, I swear!) But when I thought one of my favorite movies was about to be panned as garbage, well, I was beside myself. Then I realized: I’m 35. Everything I’ve ever loved is now old enough to be viewed as unmitigated shit. So, do your worst. I’ll probably laugh anyway! Which reminds me; why don’t you all ever do comedy movies? Is it because a bad action movie is funny but a bad comedy is painful? I get it, but I’ve got three words for you: Detective School Dropouts. A movie so great(?) that one of the leads had a thirty second role in the JERK. Keep it up, fellas. I hope I’m enough of a grown-up to not cry when you crap on my favorites. But if you ever, EVER speak ill of George Carlin, you die.

    1. I, for one, would NEVER speak ill of Carlin! I think I’d consider covering comedy, but you pretty much nailed why most of it is no good. I think we prefer the utter ineptitude of bad action/sci-fi/horror to the shameless pandering of bad comedy. I looked up Detective School Dropouts, and it doesn’t appear to have a US DVD release, so no go. But feel free to drop us more recommendations anytime! We specifically prefer flicks that are available streaming on Netflix or Hulu or somewhere our listeners can check out the movie before tuning in. Thanks for listening!
